reliability - - A measure of repeatability. A process that has been repeated successfully consistently is highly reliable.Illustration: An organization is reliable when it has high due date performance, which is measured by throughput-dollar-days. The throughput-dollar-day target is zero. When an organization's actual throughput-dollar-day measure is consistently zero its due date performance is highly reliable. Throughput-dollar-days collect for each day an order is late and disappear when the order is shipped.
